Andesica is a low-cost automatic street lights control system that is aimed at controlling streetlights, their power consumption, and reporting faults. It controls a circuit of streetlights with specific Sensors, LDR, and Microcontrollers during day and night. It uses three basic components i.e. LDR, Sensors, and microcontroller. During the daytime, there is no requirement of streetlights so the LDR keeps the streetlight off until the light level is low or the frequency of light is low the resistance of the LDR is high. This prevents current from flowing to the base of the transistors, thus Transistors are not biased and thus the streetlights do not glow. During the night, the sensors will continuously monitor the power supply lines, the bulbs, and the solar battery levels and in case of any malfunctions due to any of the above-monitored parameters, the system reports immediately through an administration portal and via an SMS gateway.
